System requirements
To be able to use IFConneX to its full extent, the transports provided by INNOFACE must be imported in the INNOFACE namespace using ABAP code. INNOFACE will send you the transports required for your system. For a description of the function modules contained in the transport, see IFConneX Standard Transport.
IFConneX supports all on-premises SAP systems starting with SAP® R/3® Version 4.7 as well as SAP S/4HANA®. There may be limitations with older versions.
For SAP systems with SAP Basis components starting with Version 7.40, SP Level 007, INNOFACE provides extended interface coding. This coding utilizes the latest features of ABAP Objects and enables a more modern implementation.
For older SAP systems, INNOFACE continues to provide the older implementation of the SAP interface. From a functional perspective, this implementation is sufficient in most cases.
Objects
IFConneX works with the following objects:
-
Material master
-
Document info record
-
Change master
-
Bill of material, bill of document, and so on.
-
Routing
Connectivity
The communication with the SAP systems takes place exclusively via official SAP protocols. The required ports are described in detail in the SAP document TCP/IP Ports Used by SAP Applications.
Gateway
For actions that are carried out via ReleaseEngine modules, Access Control Lists (ACL) must be maintained in SAP by the customer.
Note
See OSS note 1850230 (GW: "Registration of tp <program ID> not allowed").
License
Each logon of a user to an SAP system via IFConneX requires a corresponding SAP user license.
Components and Releases
Note
Innoface recommends updating the SAP system to the latest version so that IFConneX can be used without functional restrictions.
